Ingredients
With an emphasis on socially responsible farming and sourcing Wicked Cool Wellness uses some of the finest wellness ingredients from around the globe including coffee beans and turmeric from the jungles of South and Central America, Kava root and ginger from the islands of the South Pacific, Manuka honey from the outback of Australia, and much more.
Manuka Honey
Manuka honey is native to New Zealand and Australia and is a dark honey produced by bees that pollinate the flowers on the rare Manuka bush. The honey is very difficult to harvest because the Manuka flower is only open for 12 days a year. Unlike other honeys, Manuka honey has high levels of Methyglyoxal which gives it unique soothing properties while also bringing a unique sweetness to our teas.
Pink Ginger
Pink Fijian Ginger is delicious and has one of the highest potency levels in the world of gingerol. Comprised of 100% precious root material it is single-sourced from family farms, hand planted, hand harvested, grown exclusively in virgin, volcanic soil and irrigated with nothing but pure rainwater. Never flash-dried.
Kava root
Kava is the common name for Piper methysticum — a member of the Piperaceae (pepper) family, making it a close relative of black pepper (Piper nigrum). For hundreds of years it has been used as a traditional medicine in the Pacific Islands.
Wicked Cool kava is comprised of 100% precious Waka root — no additives, no fillers, and none of the leaves, twigs or branches commonly ground into other brands.
Each batch is single-sourced from family farms, hand planted, hand harvested, grown exclusively in virgin, volcanic soil and irrigated with nothing but pure rainwater.
While other companies harvest immature kava in as few as 12 months and then flash-dry it at high temperatures, we do just the opposite. We allow our kava to mature for at least five years, after which we solar dry it for weeks to preserve its precious medicinal properties.
Turmeric
Turmeric is a spice that comes from the root of Curcuma longa. Wakaya Island's pristine growing environment enables our turmeric to flourish with high concentrations of curcumin.
